License reactivation

After upgrading to new Service Release or restoring the installation on the same hardware and the same operating system (without the OS being reinstalled), Dispatcher Paragon must be reactivated again. When the license reactivation is performed, all orders that have been previously used on this server will be automatically activated.

License reactivation

  1. On the Dashboard, click on License information, CHANGE EXISTING LICENSE and Reactivate existing license.

  2. Then select one of the activation methods (Online activation or Offline activation) and perform the corresponding following steps.

License reactivation cluster limitations

Dispatcher Paragon should be always activated or reactivated from the first Dispatcher Paragon Management Service node. The node that will be used for the first license activation will have its unique computer ID associated with the license in Dispatcher Paragon License Portal (activation portal). The combination of unique computer ID and tenant ID is called integrity key. Subsequent online re-activations must be made from the same node. In the case when the node will become unavailable forever (for example when its hardware becomes damaged) and node must be exchanged, the Account Manager or licenses@ysoft.com must be contacted in order to reset license computer association.

It is possible to do offline reactivation from any cluster node but only in the case when the node, from which the reactivation is being performed, has been at least for a moment (since its restart) connected to the node from which the original activation was performed. This is possible because the nodes are exchanging their computer IDs among themselves and, therefore, each node is able to load license stored in shared database storage as well as to parse it and store it. However, this is not possible for the online activation as the local node computer ID is used during this process.
